Benjamin Michael was born December 11th. He weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 20 inches long. Ben's names were chosen for two awesome persons in the Bible. Benjamin means "son of my right hand". The right hand side was traditionally a reference to strength and virtue. Michael means "who is like the Lord". Michael is also the name of the archangel who is the protector of Israel in a military role.
Samuel David was born December 8th, almost exactly two years after Ben. Sam weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and was also 20 inches long. Samuel means "God has heard". Samuel was the last of the ruling judges in the Old Testament. He anointed Saul to be the first king of Israel, and later anointed David. David means "beloved". From a young boy who slew Goliath to King of Israel, David was called "a man after my own heart" by the Lord.
